EASLEY – Southern Wesleyan hosted the Warrior Classic, an individual 27-hole tournament on October 13. Carter Rains, Jiras Singnoi and Oliver Paddon led the Warriors, finishing in the top 20 of the tournament.
Carter Rains led the Warriors in their home tournament. Rains shot a 76 through the first 18 holes and then 36 in the last nine. His combined score of 112 put him in a time for eighth place. Rains was followed by teammate Jiras Singnoi. Singnoi shot a 75 in the first round before wrapping up with a 38 for a 113 total round to put him in a tie for 11th place. Oliver Paddon wrapped up the top 20 for the Warriors. Paddon shot a 76 in the first round of play. He wrapped up the tournament with a 40 on the last nine to give him a 116 total round score and put him in a tie for 18th.
Benny Hagerty was the fourth Warrior to finish in the Warrior Classic. Hagerty shot a 78 over the first 18 holes of the afternoon before finishing with a 41 on the last nine to give him a 119 total round score and put him in a tie for 23rdplace. He was followed by Juan Pablo De La Garza. De La Garza shot an 82 and a 42 during the afternoon for a 124 total round score to put him in 39th. Jenkins Dwight wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Dwight shot an 86 and a 41 for a 127 total round score to put him in a tie for 44th.
Southern Wesleyan will close out the Fall season of play on October 26 as they take part in the North Georgia Intercollegiate.
