GREENWOOD – After an impressive showing this past week, redshirt sophomore Jack Bond of the Lander wrestling team has been named the SACC Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The Bearcats have taken back-to-back awards, with sophomore Darius Parker earning the nod last week.
Going 2-0 in his last two outings, Bond won by pinfall against Allen while coming away with a 17-1 technical fall against Mount Olive. Bond is also currently ranked 10th nationally at the 174-weight class in the most recent NWCA Div. II poll.
Lander is back in action with a trip to UNC Pembroke on February 11.
